Cancun Chichen Itza area.

Chichen Itza Day Trip from Cancun

The Chichen Itza Pyramid called El Castillo "The Castle"

Mexican blankets are so vibrant to photograph.

They should sell a shower and shade here because it's so hot.
A row of stone skulls, known as a tzompantli or skull rack, near the Great Ballcourt at Chichen Itza, Mexico.
Local Mayan babies and their families gather at the Pyramid to sell art and the tourist stuff.

My head reaches number 6 for about 6 feet tall.

Las Monjas is one of the more notable structures at Chichen Itza. It is a complex of Terminal Classic buildings constructed in the Puuc architectural style. The Spanish named this complex Las Monjas ("The Nuns" or "The Nunnery") but it was actually a governmental palace. Just to the east is a small temple (known as the La Iglesia, "The Church") decorated with elaborate masks.[56]
The Las Monjas group is distinguished by its concentration of hieroglyphic texts dating to the Late to Terminal Classic. These texts frequently mention a ruler by the name of Kakupakal.[57]

1/2 way into the bus tour on the way to Chichen Itza the bus stops at a water park and a small shopping village for all a beer break.  The shopping at the Chichen Itza Pyramid sight is abundant so save up for shopping at the Pyramid on sight.

Cancun Beach Resorts have a bus tour for you to see Chichen Itza for the day, when you get back you will want to cool off and jump into the beautiful ocean.

The Pyramid steps are numbered, but we can't climb Chichen Itza because someone fell off years ago, plus erosion issues.

1/2 Way to Chichen Itza the bus trip breaks at small village market and combo water park.

Le Blanc Spa Resort has a Chichen Itza Day Tour from Cancun Beach.
We were so glad to be back at the resort after a day trip to Chichen Itza.  We got off the bus ordered a drink and jumped into the pool and floated around all night.
